Bungamati has its own set of festivals and jatras. You can witness these festivals and enjoy the age-old tradition along with the locals. All these festivals are observed as per the lunar calendar.

• March/April: Karyabinayak (Ganesh) Jatra
• April/May: Bungadyo Jatra (Rato Machhendranath Jatra; Pindadyo Jatra, Buddha Purnima; Sithi Nakha festival
• July/August: Nag Panchami
• August/September: Gunla Jatra
• September/October: Naincha Jatra
• October/November: Manakamana Jatra; Bhairav Jatra
